Our chiropractors Kerri, Chris , Jack , Emily or Rachel would be happy to speak to you if you would like to discuss whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for your individual complaint – call us on 01642 633888.
Chiropractic care may include manipulation, mobilisation, massage, trigger point therapy and active release techniques, western medical acupuncture, lifestyle advice and rehabilitation exercises. Your treatment plan is tailored to you as an individual.
Our approach is to provide support beyond your appointment at the clinic and we provide both advice about posture and lifestyle and rehabilitation exercises to help you achieve the improvement you are looking for.
Our chiropractic services are backed by two prestigious quality mark awards from the College of Chiropractors.
At the initial consultation we will give you our assessment of the problem, likely number of treatments involved and the cost. In our ‘About – Your Chiropractor Visit‘ section we you can find out more about what exactly happens when you come to us for chiropractic care.

Simon works in conjunction with the chiropractor managing your case, should you and your chiropractor feel that extra massage therapy would be helpful, to ensure your care is ‘joined up’ and treatments complement each other effectively.
Simon also provides stand-alone massage therapy appointments for people requiring clinical sports massage.
Clinical massage involves addressing the deeper muscles of the body. It is therefore quite different to a a non-clinical relaxation massage, which is performed with a very light touch on the surface of the skin. Simon has extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology and works to release muscles that have been traumatised, either through repetitive action or by accident, improving the range of motion of the joint or muscles involved.
Improved circulation helps to flush stagnant lactic acids that have accumulated in the muscles creating the muscle pain. A healthy muscle does not hurt and after releasing the tight muscles stretching may be performed to elongate muscles and bringing them back to original flexibility.

Research has shown that healed tissue which has been treated with laser has improved quality and tensile strength, which is important because we need to carry on using the tissue as we did before it was injured. Scar tissue can greatly affect the ability of our body to carry out its normal functions, so anything that helps to minimise this is a good idea.
LILT can also be used instead of traditional acupuncture for those who are not keen on the use of needles. This means you can also enjoy the benefits acupuncture provides.
What does it feel like?
Laser therapy uses the infra-red spectrum of light to apply healing light to the cells of the painful body part. It is non-heating, you cannot feel it, and it is perfectly safe. Treatment only takes a few minutes and you will be given a pair of safety glasses to wear as a precaution.
Our laser machine was provided by Omega Laser Systems and lots of interesting and relevant information can be found on their website.

We will only propose referring your for further imaging if we feel it is necessary to the management of your case. After all there are nicer places to be than in an MRI scanner and X-rays are best in small doses!
We have partnerships with various providers for imaging. North Tees Hospital provides us with private efficient digital x-ray facilities and MRI scanning. Scan-2-Fit in provide us with our diagnostic ultrasound referral route.
The vast majority of our patients do not need to be referred for imaging and we will always talk to you about the pros and cons of imaging at your initial consultation, if we feel it would be in your interests in managing your condition. This includes summarising the costs involved.
