Chiropractic care at Stockton Chiropractic Clinic is suitable for everyone, from birth to older age, including babies and pregnant women. Treatment is always modified to the individual.
Problems we treat routinely include back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, generalised aches and pains, sciatica, and joint pain including hip and knee pain (arising from osteoarthritis/wear and tear). We can help with migraine prevention and also treat headaches arising from the neck. Other conditions that can be helped by chiropractic management include short-term management of an acute ankle sprain, minor sports injuries, muscle spasms, plantar fasciitis and cramp. We can also help with tension and inability to relax.
If you are unsure about chiropractic being appropriate for you or your complaint – call 01642 633888 and book a chat with a practitioner to discuss your situation.
Our chiropractic services are backed by two prestigious quality mark awards from the Royal College of Chiropractors.
At the initial consultation we will give you our assessment of the problem and likely number of treatments involved to estimate the overall cost.
Massage Therapy

Clinical massage therapy may be helpful as an appropriate part of your chiropractic management plan or as a stand-alone therapy. Our qualified on-site massage therapist is Simon.
Simon has extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology and is also a qualified cranio-sacral therapist. He has also had extensive training in myofascial release techniques. Depending on your problem, Simon may combine massage with one or more of these techniques, in consultation with you.
He is also qualified in hot stones massage.
Simon works in conjunction with the chiropractor managing your case, should you and your chiropractor feel that extra massage therapy or myofascial techniques would be helpful, to ensure your care is ‘joined up’ and treatments complement each other effectively.
Simon also provides stand-alone massage therapy appointments for people requiring clinical sports massage, hot stones massage or cranio-sacral therapy.

Pilates is full-body movement method designed to strengthen, support, and enhance your body awareness. Whether you’re looking to build core strength, improve posture, manage pain, or simply move better in everyday life, Pilates offers a safe, and adaptable approach to health and fitness.
Reformer Pilates uses a specially designed machine with springs, straps, and a moving carriage to create resistance and support. It allows for a wider range of motion and more precise targeting of muscles, making it particularly helpful for injury rehabilitation, mobility restrictions, or building strength in a more supported way.
The beauty of Pilates is that it’s for every body. Whether you’re managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, improving your fitness, or preparing for or recovering from pregnancy — Pilates can be safely and effectively adapted to your needs.
Rachel is also trained in antenatal and postnatal Pilates, ensuring safe and supportive movement through every stage of motherhood. We understand the unique physical changes and challenges that come with pregnancy and the postpartum period — and we’re here to help you stay strong, mobile, and confident throughout.
Laser Therapy

-
(Approximately 10 mins as a stand alone treatment)
Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT) is an excellent addition to the range of treatments we can provide. The clinic is proud to be able to offer this service using our Class 3b Low Intensity Laser Device which can be used in conjunction with other forms of treatment, or as a stand-alone therapy, depending on your condition.
LILT has plenty of evidence for effectiveness in a wide range of conditions, including inflammatory problems (e.g. Achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow), chronic and acute pain (e.g. long-term neck/low back pain, nerve pain) and degenerative conditions (e.g. osteoarthritis of the knee). It has been shown in research studies to provide pain relief and accelerate healing and repair of tissues.
LILT can also be used instead of traditional acupuncture for those who are not keen on the use of needles. This means you can also enjoy the benefits acupuncture provides.
What does it feel like?
Laser therapy uses the infra-red spectrum of light to apply healing light. It is non-heating, you cannot feel it, and it is perfectly safe. Treatment only takes a few minutes and you will be given a pair of safety glasses to wear as a precaution.
Our laser machine was provided by Omega Laser Systems and lots of interesting and relevant information can be found on their website.
Imaging

PRACTITIONERS
Kerri Stone, Jack Butler, Chris Davies, Emily Wade & Rachel Dove
Collectively known as imaging, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans, X-rays and diagnostic ultrasound can sometimes help to work out what is at the root of your condition.
National clinical guidelines are clear that imaging is definitely NOT the first step in the diagnostic journey and we wholeheartedly subscribe to this view. We will only propose referring your for further imaging if we feel it is necessary to the management of your case.
The vast majority of our patients do not need to be referred for imaging and we will always talk to you about the pros and cons of imaging at your initial consultation, if we feel it would be in your interests in managing your condition. This includes summarising the costs involved.
If it is apparent that imaging would be in your best interests we have partnerships with efficient local providers for X-Ray, MRI scanning and ultrasound.
